Recently discovered through "Missing Link," the Austrian band Orbital Hotel struck us with their spontaneity and energy. But beyond just their musical content, their production pace is also noteworthy. Since 2014, albums have followed one another at a steady, almost industrial rhythm, building a substantial discography for an independent instrumental project. Looking back now at "Infinito" helps us better understand how this prolific creativity took shape.

With this album, the band adopts a more compact and organic approach. The guitar here feels particularly rich, saturated, almost stoner in how it occupies space. While "Missing Link" allowed more room for dynamics and contrasts, "Infinito" prioritizes density and immersion. The eponymous opening track is a perfect illustration: a hypnotic motif that repeats, intensifies, and gradually builds a circular tension. The effect is immediate without being demonstrative; on this record, Orbital Hotel prefers to construct atmosphere through accumulation rather than disruption.

Nevertheless, the album isn’t limited to this heaviness. Tracks like "Vertex1" or "Hot Air" remind us that the trio also knows how to wield melody within this almost suffocating space. The lines become more airy, the arrangements brighter, creating welcome breaths within a dense whole. This alternation between sonic mass and melodic clarity avoids monotony and gives the album a real depth, almost narrative despite the absence of vocals.

Thus, "Infinito" appears as a pivotal moment in Orbital Hotel’s journey. Less instinctive than "Missing Link," perhaps more compact and direct, it reflects a desire to explore different textures without diluting the band’s identity. Their productivity might raise concerns about dispersion; on the contrary, it reveals a constant quest, a sonic laboratory in perpetual motion. And it’s precisely this tension between abundance and coherence that makes their trajectory interesting to follow.
